Thorpe Park Fright Nights 2025 Review 🎃
I visited Thorpe Park Fright Nights 2025 on Sunday 5th and i genuinely had the best day I think I’ve ever had at a theme park. In this blog I’ll be reviewing and mainly focusing on the fright nights attractions at this years event apart from one- It 4D. I didn’t not get to experience this attraction and therefore cant give a review on it. However I did experience everything else, so I’ll review them in this blog.
The first scare attraction for the day was TRAILERS! This maze debuted back in 2021 for the events 20th anniversary. In recent years, it’s had a few new scenes added throughout. As you enter the SuperSpark Cinema, the horror movies come alive and you step inside of them. This was my second ever scare maze I’ve ever done so I was nervous going in. However, I really enjoyed the maze. The mix of different characters, vibes and scenes throughout was great and I loved how it callled back to some older fright nights attractions such as Platform 15, Creak Freak Massacre and many more. It was an amazing maze and actors inside were really good. Highlights include Bozo’s Playzone & the finale! The 2 new scenes were also really good! Trailers is an incredible maze and I definitely recommend it!
The second maze of the day was DeadBeat! This was the new maze for last year and has a nightclub theme to it which I loved! The scenes throughout were incredible and very scary. The soul sucking demons were so scary and the ‘possessed’ were also good. Had some great scares in here especially towards the end and SPOILER ALERT the zip line effect was so cool! DeadBeat was an absolutely incredible maze and one of my favourites.
Next up, Stitches! New for 2023, enter Howell’s Toy Emporium and meet the toymaker as you watch her creations come to life! I’d heard great things about stitches going in and I was so excited. Pleased to say, the maze lived up to its high expectations. The theming throughout was incredible especially because the maze gets set up in its marquee every year! Very scary and intense maze and the ending was genuinely terrifying! Stitches is another incredible maze in the lineup and I’d 100% recommend doing it when you visit Fright Nights
Next up, we visited the NEW FOR 2025, Purgatory Town! This scare zone is very unique in that you speak and interact with the actors instead of being actually scared. We went through the zone loads of times and whilst yes the zone isn’t scary, it was brilliant. The interaction with the characters was amazing and our group had a laugh in this zone. The actors do an incredible job as well and were hilarious. In particular our group loved Big Mags the ice cream vendor! Other characters including the gravedigger, the brides and many more were all fantastic as well. Purgatory Town was not scary, however it offered something unique in the lineup which I appreciated it. It did feel very family based at a park with a thrilling event but it’s fine for what it is and I enjoyed going through there during the day.
We ventured into Crows Of Mawkin Meadow twice. Once during the day and once at night and I must say the zone is 10x better at night. It’s also a lot scarier so I’d recommend saving it for when night falls. The zone itself was brilliant and felt more like a maze with its set route and good theming. The route was quite good and I loved the fake crows dotted around. The scene with the witch and the barn were also amazing and I really enjoy this zone, but much more at night when it was more intense.
The final maze of the evening was Survival Games. With many changes for 2025 including a new storyline, one set route and much more I was intrigued by this maze. Seeing reviews everyone called it the most intense and scariest and trust me, they’re not lying. Survival Games was definitely the most intense maze of the night. The scares inside were incredible and the actors do an amazing job. I will admit the theming inside does lack compared to the other 3 was most of the maze being dark walls and a few metal barrels the maze was still incredible. Plus the chainsaw runout was terrifying!
Lucifer’s Lair was spectacular! The fire show that I watched was genuinely incredible and I was amazed. The scare zone surrounding it was also amazing. The shows on the stage vary throughout the day but there’s live bands, dances, fire shows and much more. The costumes as well in the zone were once again amazing and Thorpe have done an incredible job with this show/zone.
Fright Nights 2025 is a spectacular event with terrifying mazes, spooky scare zones and mesmerising live shows. I had the best night ever at the event this year and really loved it. I of course got loads of rides in including 3 rides on Hyperia (my first ever night ride) and of course all my other favourites. I’d recommend the event this year to everyone as it is amazing!
